UFC Fight Night 59 bonuses: Of course Conor McGregor nabbed one of the $50K awards
BOSTON – Four fighters each earned $50,000 bonuses for their performances at Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 59 event, and you just knew [autotag]Conor McGregor[/autotag] was going to be one of them.
McGregor and [autotag]Lorenz Larkin[/autotag] won “Performance of the Night” bonuses while [autotag]Sean O’Connell[/autotag] and [autotag]Matt Van Buren[/autotag] each earned “Fight of the Night” honors.
UFC officials announced the winners at the post-event news conference, which MMAjunkie attended.
UFC Fight Night 59 took place at Boston’s TD Garden. The main card aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
McGregor, of course, competed in the night’s main event, earning a one-sided TKO victory over Dennis Siver. Afterward, the Irishman leaped the cage to confront UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo, who was sitting cageside. The two will meet later this year in a blockbuster 145-pound title fight.
