For the 4th time since the start of 2015, the fans of the UFC have had the pleasure of hearing the iconic Bruce Buffer phrase “Aaand new UFC Champion of the World”. First Joanna Jedrzejczyk (no that’s not a typo) in the women’s Strawweight division, followed by Rafael Dos Anjos dismantling Anthony Pettis for the Lightweight title, then Daniel Cormier’s submission victory for the vacant Light Heavyweight belt due to Jon Jones’s inability to behave like a normal human being, and most recently at UFC 188 with Fabricio Werdum’s submission victory over Cain Velasquez for the undisputed heavyweight title. Things have definitely been shaken up in the UFC so far this year, but none seem to be shaken quite like the Heavyweight division was on Saturday night.
